PRACTICE INFORMATION

The office is located in room 703, on the 7th floor of the Annex at Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital, 162 Longmarket Street, CBD, Cape Town where most of the patients are seen. He also has privileges at Milnerton Mediclinic, and occasionally sees patients at the Brooklyn Medical Centre, near Milnerton.

Consultations, examinations, ultrasound studies and minor procedures are carried out in the office. More complex procedures and surgical operations are undertaken in the operating theatres on the 9th floor of the hospital. Assistance with major surgeries is provided by skilled urology or general surgery colleagues.

Practising at CBMH has several advantages. It is one of South Africa’s outstanding private hospitals undertaking major procedures in several disciplines including heart transplants, and therefore has excellent ancillary supporting staff including specialists in all fields, nursing and ICU staff. The hospital is also a major trauma and dialysis centre and is therefore capable of handling all varieties of medical and surgical emergencies. Adequate parking is available in the building, approached from either Bree or Long streets, and our office, currently on the 10th floor(soon to move to the 7th floor Annex), has easy access to registration, urology ward, xray department and laboratory facilities.
